Splinter Works has designed their new Vessel bathtub. The tub seems to hover above ground, but it's fastened at the ends, very much like a classic hammock. The tub is made from carbon fibre, which allowed the shape, while maintaining a low weight, and durability.
- Struck by the synergy between the shapes of two compelling symbols of relaxation, a hammock and a bath tub, we were inspired to develop a piece that would provide the ultimate vehicle for total escapism, Miles Hartwell, co-founder at Splinter Works, says in a press release.
